Foster Family Recruitment
New England is in dire need of families for the over 20,000 children in foster care, with more children coming into foster care every single day. The growing number of children in need of foster families far exceeds the number of foster parents.
Garelick Farms is in its fifth year of helping to recruit foster families in New England. Since 2002, we've proudly promoted the need for foster parenting and helped recruit hundreds of fosters families throughout the region. In addition, we recently donated over 200 gently used children’s and adults warm winter coats for a coat drive to benefit local foster families.

The reality is that when these children come into foster care, 75% of them are painfully separated from their brothers and sisters. That’s why, in 2005, we partnered with Camp To Belong, a very special summer camp that reunites foster siblings each summer. Camp To Belong recently opened two camps in New England: Camp To Belong Maine and Camp To Belong Massachusetts. In the summer of 2005, Garelick Farms was proud to sponsor 20 campers to attend Camp to Belong in New England.
Each summer, we travel throughout New England to promote the need for foster parenting; introduce tasty and nutritious dairy products; and provide family fun and entertainment. We served thousands of free samples of Garelick Farms milk, met lots of wonderful families and recruited hundreds of new foster families.
